Thank you for reaching out to the Taney County Health Department (TCHD) regarding an exposure to a COVID-19 positive individual.  If you have symptoms of COVID-19, please seek testing options.  According to the CDC, close contacts are anyone that has been within 6 feet of a COVID-19 positive individual for 15 minutes or more throughout the course of a day.  The CDC still advises all close contacts that are able to quarantine for 14 days from the date of last exposure to ensure COVID-19 is not spread to others.  However, under the CDC's new modified quarantine for those asymptomatic people unable to quarantine for the full 14-days, they can instead quarantine for a minimum of 10 days and then wear mask at all times and monitor for symptoms for the remaining 4 days.

Please take the brief survey below so we can determine if you need further follow up from TCHD.  Once you submit your answers a link to a release letter will be sent to you via text or email within 48 business hours.  Detailed quarantine instructions are available on the TCHD COVID 19 page at www.taneycohealth.org/COVID19/.  If you have questions, please contact TCHD at 417-334-4544 ext 577.
